History of Vaikunta Ekadasi :
Vaikunta Ekadasi is the auspicious day for Lord Sri Krishna. Vaikunta Ekadasi comes on 11th day of every lunar fortnight. This falls in Margali month according to Tamil calendar and Pushya Masam according to Telugu calendar.
Vaikunta Ekadasi is also known as Mukoti ekadasi, Swargavathi ekadasi prominently in various places. Mainly following activities are performed on this like Entering to temples from Vaikunta Dwaram known as Utara Dwara Darshanam, Fasting, Starting new works etc.
Importance of Festival : It is believed that Mukoti (3 Crores) of Gods and Goddess will shower blessings on this day. So this is considered as one of the important auspicious day which comes once in a year. Entering to temples from Uttara Dwaram is considered as important activity this day.
